    Thank You Cassandra, and Parkview Public School

    Filled under: Brian Roman Appearances | by Brian | Comments

    Hello Everyone.

    Today I had the pleasure of going by Parkview Public School in Unionville. Mrs Nobes was very kind and let me interrupt the class. I went to visit Cassandra, seen here in this photo with me. You see Cassandra wrote a newspaper article for a class assignment in which she wrote that Brian Roman was her hero. Well Cassandra let me tell you something, it is you who is the hero, my hero. Thanks so much for making me feel so special. Everyone in Cassandra’s class got a Brian Roman CD and I hope they enjoy it.

    Thanks again Cassandra.

    Your friend,
    Brian

    Hello all and thank you;

    Yesterday Ernie Mallia called in a bit of a panic to tell me to take the ticket purchase button down from www.BrianRoman.com.

    He said that we had sold all 600 seats for the benefit concert on July 2nd, in just under a week.

    Thank you to all of you for your support for Justin and Tracy and I look forward to seeing you on July 2nd.

    Here is the photo from the weekend in the Economist & Sun.

    Justin Grant Benefit Thanks to Ernie Mallia

    Hello Everyone and welcome;
    I have had so many requests to help out with this benefit for Justin Grant on July 2nd at Angus Glenn in Markham. I am truly grateful to all of you, but I do want to make something clear. I didn’t start this, I merely took the ball from someone else and then put it out there for all of you. What has resulted is a great testament to the human spirit. What is happening is the result of people coming together to show we care.

    The man who deserves the credit for getting this going is Ernie Mallia, the grocery manager at the Loblaw McCowan Market in Markham Ontario. Ernie is a great example of selfless kindness and thoughtfulness. I am sure that Loblaw’s is quite proud of Ernie, he is representing well what I think Loblaw’s and the Weston family stand for, making life better for everyone…..
    One of Justin's favourite things to do is to play video games on his laptop.
    When we first decided to do the concert we thought it might be cool to raise $20,000.00 for Justin’s mom Tracy to be able to stay off work for a while and be with her son. However with the outpouring of public support I think our goal will now be $100,000.

    Thanks Ernie. Let’s make this a great night for Justin.

    Justin Needs Our Help

    Hello Everyone;

    Meet Justin Grant. Justin is 5 years old and is currently having to visit the Hospital for Sick Children on a Justin Grantpretty regular basis, most days.
    You see Justin has cancer in his head and face. Justin and his mom could use some help, tragically, about a year ago, Justin’s dad died from a brain aneurysm, he was 31 years old.

    The Romanettes and I are hosting a benefit concert at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham. All of the money from ticket sales will be given to Justin and his mom.

    I have never met Justin or his mom. But overheard someone talking about him and asked if I might be able to help. I had not even ever met this person either.

    The concert is July 2nd at Angus Glen. I must tell you all how amazing it is to see so many people step up to help;

    • Angus Glen has donated the room and subsequent to sending out this email so many who can’t make the show have offered to donate money.
    • Gary Gamble from 88.5FM The Jewel has asked me to come on the air and “Hockey with Heart” in Unionville/Markham called and asked what they could do to help. And hundreds of tickets sold in the first 2 hours.

    The show will be in the grand hall at Angus Glen and will start at 7 pm and tickets are $30.00.

    I will be joined on stage by Harry James and Alan Kennedy: “Forty Something” and Susan Brown. The show will be outstanding with great performances and plenty of variety. Thanks to Forty Something and Susan Brown for their time.

    For tickets please contact

    Ernie Mallisa @ (416) 577-1599

    ————————————————————————————————————————–

    We are restricted to about 550 seats so please call Ernie now. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a contribution that would be very much appreciated and please call Ernie in that regard as well.

    Please pray for Justin, his dad and his mom.

    With gratitude and humility,
    Brian

    Grandma, “Forever In My Song”

    Tags: As Long As I Have Music, Brian Roman, Dean Martin, Elvis, Forever in my song, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones

    Hello Everyone;

    I must say that I have been overwhelmed by the number of emails both requesting that I do more Sinatra, Elvis and Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and Dean Martin songs as I have always done, but more and more frequently people are asking for more Brian Roman.

    It seems that the song “As Long As I Have Music” has become the favourite of many and has become my theme song and a show favourite.
    “Forever in My Song” has also gained a lot of notice. This song was written by Al Salci with lyrics by non other than myself Brian Roman.

    You see I believe that I was the last to see my grandmother before she died. She called me and asked: ’son would you mind bringing me a pair of those clip on sun glasses, I am going to the Thousand Islands this weekend with some of the folks in my building.” so off I went, I delivered the sunglasses and on my way out Grandma stood in the threshold of her apartment, half in and half out and as she waved good bye she said: “thank you son” and as I walked toward the elevator I turned and waved back to grandma “Bye Grandma, have a nice trip.”……  Well she never did go on that trip. One of her friends found her in bed on Monday morning with her glasses still on, her false teeth still in and the book open on her chest…. I know she had a nice trip….  Grandma now shows up all the time, in the strangest but very obvious ways. “She is there always here inside looking out for me and for my song” “When I think about my life, all the things I’ve seen, when I think about the times we had and things that might have been.” …… I think as you get to know this one you will fall in love with it too.

    The next CD is almost here and will include more classics and I think a hint of me singing in another language or two.

    Enjoy. All the very best, Brian

    Hi Everyone.

    A few months ago a told you about 6 year old Corry who had become a Brian Roman fan and how grateful I was for that. Well here is her Aunt Annemarie whom I first met on a flight to Florida and Annemarie brought Corry an “As Long As I Have Music” CD, and Annemarie is seen here dancing with her Dad. Dad is doing so well, we are happy to say and his dancing is outstanding.
    Oh and by the way I am looking forward to hearing from 3 year old Caden too.

    Every good wish.  Brian
